Sanibel Island

The last place we traveled to before the Corona virus pandemic was to Sanibel Island Florida to celebrate our good friends getting married. We are so grateful for that amazing vacation in the sun.

The wedding was on Saturday but we decided to extend our stay and arrived the Wednesday before. It was the end of February so the weather was pretty perfect. We spent the first day lounging on the beach and ended up going to dinner on the main strip of small restaurants. We stayed at the low key but beautiful Sanibel Inn.

Sanibel Island is small, the main things to do are to bike ride the island, check out the historic Sanibel lighthouse and perfect the Sanibel stoop (what you do when looking at shells on the beach). There is a ton of beautiful wildlife right on the beach but you can also bike to the Wildlife Refuge. We rented a boat one day as well and Max played a lot of golf.
