Finding Positives

I am entering my fourth week of working from home now and thought I’d share my running list of positive things that are happening during this time. It is of course a time filled with anxiety and negative thoughts, so I am doing my best to focus on the good and hoped it might help someone else out there. I normally write 3 things I am grateful for every morning but have been writing this extra list these days to stay sane.

  • more walks in nature

  • more time with my dog Marty

  • learning how to play new card games (Rummy, crazy eight, gin)

  • proving to my superiors that I can effectively work from home

  • organizing multiple rooms and closets

  • deep cleaning my bathroom, to the point of making my shower floor a shade lighter

  • reorganizing furniture for a better flow

  • pollution is going down

  • spending less money and therefore saving more money

  • spending time with family

  • connecting with family and friends more than ever

  • appreciating spring blooms more than ever
