Jersey Shore

I grew up in North Jersey and would always go down for day trips to long branch beach at the very start of the jersey shore coastline. My boyfriend Max also grew up in north jersey (we did not meet till we were both working in NYC but coincidentally grew up 30 minutes from each other our whole lives) and his family would actually rent down in Lavalette and Sea Girt for their whole lives. So for the past 6 years of us dating I’ve got to enjoy spending time with his family down there and we’ve even rented a few places with friends in Asbury Park and Belmar.

The Jersey shore around the world has a bad rep, or a very specific one I should say, but the one I grew up going to is very different. Asbury Park is my favorite place and is so vibrant with culture and food and so many things to do besides partying! There are all types of people, young and old, and so many cute dogs. There is even a bar with a dedicated daily Yappy Hour where you can sip drinks while watching your dog play.
