Maine

Maine is huge, so far I have made it to Southern Maine (Ogunquit, York, Kennybunk) - I will update this post once I’ve gone further north too!

I really loved Cliff House in Maine - one of the highest caliber resorts in Maine in terms of amenities, the property, the service and the food. There are views of the ocean every corner of the property. It’s very close to Ogunquit and York, both of which are very cute and charming towns. York is more of a beach town reminds me of a calmer Jersey Shore and Ogunquit has the quintessential charm you’d imagine in Maine - from the candy shop, to the local soap and olive oil stores. There are golf courses abound, the infamous stone water kitchen is right off the exit. The houses are amazing to look at along with their stunning backdrops.

I also made it up to Kennybunk (Kennebunkport) 20 min north from the towns above. Also super charming on the water, more of a port town feel. I also took a look inside the White Barn Inn which was charming and totally different than Cliff House - very historic, very small, very different than Cliff House. I am not sure that I’d ever choose this place over Cliff House just because of the size of it and the location on a main road, but it was gorgeous for a drink/meal - especially their main dining room hall.

Can’t wait to go back with my family and explore Portland and further north next time.
