Martha’s Vineyard
I was so excited to visit Martha’s Vineyard in the summer of 2023, it was my baby’s 3 month birthday and my own 29th birthday - and our first mini trip as a family. We had been to Rhode Island plenty of times, the hamptons, and jersey shore but never ventured to the cape or martha’s vineyard. We absolutely loved it - and really preferred Edgartown to all the other towns on the rather large island (compared to Nantucket which is much smaller). The ferry is expensive if you’re bringing a car, which we did because we had Mila and her bassinet with us, but I’d definitely recommend leaving the car at Cape Cod if you can, you don’t really need a car. The ferry has a little bar on it too, we started off the trip with mimosas while looking at the ocean.
Hotels
Harbor View Hotel - absolutely amazing with kids or without, charming, views of the ocean (the only hotel with beach front access), little private beach and large pool with service. Their restaurant is great for breakfast and for dinner and the pool lunch menu was fabulous too. They golf cart you to the beach or to town if you want (Even though it’s an easy walk) they also have Mercedes on loan if you feel like exploring more of the island.
the charlotte inn - great for adults only, reminds me of polo bar restaurant, so unique and interesting, right in town
Faraway - super luxe and modern hotel - brand new in 2023
